Building on previous stages, it refines and deepens students’ knowledge and skills, offering greater insight into subject areas. The curriculum progresses from broad and general courses to increasingly specialized and in-depth subjects, preparing students for their next academic or career steps.

Cambridge IGCSE - Grades 9-10
The world today demands more than just traditional education. In recognising this, IPS proudly offers the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, a programme designed not just to inform, but to inspire. The Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is a curriculum of international repute, known for its rigorous yet flexible framework. It empowers students to think critically, work collaboratively, and approach problems with creativity.
Beyond mere academic excellence, the Cambridge IGCSE nurtures skills that matter in real-world scenarios. From the practical dynamics of Business Studies, the global awareness in Global Perspectives, to digital literacy in Computer Science, each subject is a window to a world of opportunities. In an ever-evolving global landscape, the ability to adapt is crucial. Our curriculum ensures students are prepared not just for exams, but for life, instilling skills of critical analysis, effective communication, and innovative problem-solving.
Cambridge A Levels - Grades 11-12
The A-Level programme is a globally recognized qualification known for its academic rigor, depth, and flexibility. It allows students to specialize in subjects that match their interests, strengths, and career ambitions, providing an in-depth understanding of key disciplines. At IPS, we offer a range of popular subjects that are recognized by global universities as key factors in admission decisions. With expert guidance from the University Advisor, students confidently tailor the subjects choices that best align with their future university and career goals and aspirations.
We also offer opportunities to enhance qualifications with additional recognitions such as the IPQ (International Project Qualification) and SSR (Student Social Responsibility Programme). These enrich students’ academic portfolios, broaden the scope of essential skills not typically developed in traditional school curricula and serve as valuable references for university applications.
IPS Upper Secondary students continue to engage with the Polish National Curriculum through Polish Language, History of Poland (studied for two years), and Geography of Poland (one year) or Polish as a Second Language. While these subjects are a core part of their education, students have the option to take key examinations, including A-Level Polish, the Polish Matura exam, and Polish as a Second Language certification, based on their individual goals and aspirations.

Culminating Assessments
Our final examinations come in two stages: In the final months of grade 10 students approach their IGCSE exams that provide a standardized way for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a range of mandatory and elective subjects. It is the first step toward further education, such as A- and AS-levels and, furthermore university placements. Upon completion of the secondary education, at the end of grade 12 students take A Level exams, (also referred to as Advanced Level exams). They assess a student’s readiness for higher education and are the primary basis for University acceptance worldwide.
The rigorous nature of A Level exams prepares students for the academic demands of university-level study. It allows them to specialize in a smaller number of subjects that they are passionate about or that are relevant to their future career aspirations.
Polish Matura exams is a set of exams taken by students at the end of their secondary education stage in Poland. It serves as a matriculation examination, determining a student’s eligibility for higher education in Poland and, if recognized, abroad. The exam consists of written and oral exams on both basic and extended level.
Students approaching Matura exams must take three mandatory subjects – Polish Language (written and oral), Mathematics and a Foreign Language (written and oral) – on the basic level and choose at least one subject of the student’s choice on the extended level. Students of IPS Upper Secondary can decide between the following examination options:
- A Levels
- Polish Matura
- Both options
