Starting primary school is a big step—for children and parents alike! Primary Prep Club is a nurturing afterschool program for children aged 4 to 6, designed to ease the transition into the primary years at IPS Primary. We offer high-quality care and education, with a strong focus on developing English language skills.
Through science, social studies, and thematic play, children build early literacy, numeracy, and life skills, explore the natural world, and learn about human-made artifacts—all in a supportive, engaging environment that lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
Transdisciplinary units
The best way to engage with the world is to explore it from many angles. Transdisciplinary units of inquiry integrate multiple subject areas around a central theme, fostering deep, interconnected learning and real-world application.
Jolly Phonics Programme
Students learn how to write and read based on the Jolly Phonics programme – a multisensory, systematic approach to literacy that teaches letter sounds, formation, blending, segmenting, and tricky words through actions, songs, and stories that our students love.
Centre-based learning
A hands-on approach where students rotate through different activity stations, each targeting specific skills or subjects. Using this method our teachers promote engagement, independence, and collaboration.
