IPS Upper Secondary Houses

Our unique house system is more than just a tradition?it’s a community-building experience designed with our students in mind. At the heart of this system is our commitment to reinforcing core values, fostering inter-grade relationships, and ensuring every student feels connected and valued. Dive into our vibrant houses: Resilience in Red, Reflection in Blue, Respect in Yellow, and Responsibility in Green. Each house represents more than a colour or a name; it embodies a family within the school community. With the guidance of a dedicated teacher serving as the head-of-house and the leadership of elected captains from each grade, our houses stand as pillars of unity and spirit. But it’s not all about camaraderie. Our houses also engage in thrilling competitions, showcasing talents from academics and athletics to the arts. Whether students shine individually or as a team, there’s an opportunity for everyone to be recognised. As houses earn points through their victories, the excitement builds throughout the term, culminating in a grand reward outing for the top-performing house. From challenges like Foosball and Photography to Maths Relay, Trivia Relay, Free, and the ever-popular Name-That-Tune, there’s never a dull moment in our house system.

Extracurricular Activities

IPS is proud to offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities and Afternoon Clubs. They include Foreign language classes in Spanish, German, and French, Sports Clubs for football, basketball, acrobatics, dance, cheerleading, and yoga, Chess & Logic Games, Science Club, Art & Design Club, and private instruction in Piano, Guitar, Percussion, Strings, or Voice provided by our Music School. We are also incredibly proud of our recently formed IPS Student Chorus.

IPS Student Council

The IPS Student Council is a self governed body of students, elected by their peers, who collaborate with the IPS Leadership and the Parent Teacher Association. The council is designed to introduce students to the overall structure and function of government and its processes and gives students the opportunity to build strong, meaningful friendships and understanding of professional relationships.

The Voluntary Program

The Volunteer Program allows students Grades 5 – 8 to practice social responsibility, one of the crucial IPS values. Students can volunteer to help in the Playschool, Media Center, Administration, Eco Committee, Cafeteria or Afternoon Care.
